Well is has come to that time where more and more garlic scapes have grown enough that they need to start coming off so that the plant will focus its energies on increasing bulb size.
As mentioned before garlic scapes are a great early season crop to enjoy. I roasted a bunch in the oven, and they were great!
These look wonderful, Harold! Do you sell them? Or only the bulbs when they are ready?
